What does laser cutting cost? The honest answer: it depends — on material, thickness, contour complexity and quantity. That is exactly why we built this calculator. Instead of waiting days for quotes, you get a realistic indicative price in Swiss Francs in 30 seconds.
How the price is calculated
Every order consists of three cost blocks: the setup fee for data verification and machine preparation, material costs (unless you supply your own material), and the actual laser time. The latter depends directly on the cut length — a filigree ornament requires several times more time than a simple rectangle of the same size. From 20 pieces onwards, our volume discounts of 5 to 20 % apply.
From indicative price to binding quote
The calculator uses empirical values and delivers a price range of ±15 %. Send us your drawing files as DXF, AI or PDF — we calculate the exact cut length and you receive a binding quote within 24 hours. Production at our workshop in Dürnten, Zurich.

What does laser cutting cost per piece?
Costs depend on material, thickness, contour length and quantity. Simple acrylic parts start at a few francs per piece; for larger quantities, the unit price drops significantly through volume discounts. Use our price calculator to get an indicative price in 30 seconds.
Which materials can be laser cut?
With the CO2 laser we cut acrylic glass, MDF, plywood, cardboard, leather, felt and textiles. Metals such as anodised aluminium as well as glass can be engraved and marked, but not cut.
How binding is the calculated price?
The calculator provides a non-binding indicative price with a range of ±15 %. We calculate the definitive price based on your drawing data (DXF, AI or PDF) — you receive the binding quote within 24 hours.
Can I supply my own material?
Yes, we gladly process customer-supplied material. In this case, the material surcharge is omitted and you only pay for setup and laser time.
